Lauer Danes

This agreement will be signed when purchasing a Great Dane puppy from Lauer Danes with limited AKC registration. (pet only) This agreement is between buyer/owner named below and Melissa Bateson Lauer, owner of Lauer Danes and is legal and binding. 

The spay/neuter procedure is the full financial  responsibility of the buyer, not Lauer Danes. 

Failure to comply with this agreement and contract will be considered breach of contract. This agreement and contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of North Carolina. 

The buyer will practice responsible ownership of the said puppy . A female dog will be fully separated no less than 21 days during any heat cycle before the time of altering to prevent any accidents. A male dog will be fully separated from all female dogs no less than 21 days to prevent any accidents. 

If purchasing a Great Dane puppy as "pet only" the buyer IS REQUIRED to have the said puppy spayed/neutered NO EARLEIR than 12 months and NO LATER than 24 months . 18 to 24 months of age is best.  If wanting to spay/neuter closer to 12 month mark, an x-ray will be taken of the growth plates to ensure fully closed before the procedure is done. The x-ray than most be sent to Lauer Danes for verification. Failure to do so will null and void the health guarantee. Lauer Danes will call the veterinarian office for verification the procedure has been completed. Being spayed/neutered too early but your dog at a higher risk for certain cancers, temperment issues, growth related problems, hip dysplasia, takes away certain hormones such as estrogen, ligament issues (CCL injuries), bone cancer, increased incidences of noise phobias, fearful behavior, undesirable sexual behavior, aggression, and adverse reactions to vaccines and more. 

If the said puppy is female and is found to have had a litter accidently or purposely under this contract and agreement, the buyer will return said dog and all puppies at the buyers expense within 1 week and all physical ownership will become that of Lauer Danes NO MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED. if the said puppy is a male and has been found to sire any litter accidently or purposely, the male dog will be returned to Lauer Danes within 1 week at the buyers expense and all physical ownership will become that of Lauer Danes . NO MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED. 

By my signature below, I, as the buyer/owner agree to have said puppy spayed/neutered with the terms listed above. I also agree that this contract and agreement that the said puppy will not produce any litter of puppies accidentally or purposely. I agree should the said puppy not be altered or has any litter of puppies for any reason, I will return the dog and litter to Lauer Danes with no refund to be given. I also understand that all transportation costs will be up to me, the buyer. I understand I have 1 week to do so. I understand that if I shall fail to follow any or all of this contract, I will be in breach of contract and Lauer Danes will follow up with neccassary steps and action. 

All legal matters will be handled in Forsyth County,  North Carolina. A violation of any clause in the contract or guarantee will continue a breech of contract. All legal fees will be the responsibility of the owner/buyer.
